Jon Jones Stripped of Title

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been stripped of the title. Jones was recently involved in a hit-and-run accident that involved a pregnant woman. The incident took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and an undercover police officer said that he saw Jon Jones running from the scene of the accident. However, Jon Jones then returned to his rented vehicle, and then he grabbed a handful of cash and run off again.

OTC Markets said that Jon Jones was arrested and booked into an Albuquerque jail. The UFC and it’s fans are extremely disappointed in Jones. The president of the UFC said that he had no choice but to reprimand John Jones for his criminal actions. Anthony Johnson was set to face Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight championship, but now it seems everything has changed.

The president of the UFC has already rebooked the main event for UFC 187, and Daniel Cormier will face Anthony Johnson for the vacant light heavyweight championship. Jon Jones has been suspended from the sport, and his return is unknown as of right now. It is also believed that Jon Jones was intoxicated during the accident. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found inside of his rented vehicle, and his actions have caused the incident to turn into a felony. For more information on this story, visit Yahoo! Sports.

Everyone is Cashing In On Mayweather v Pacquiao Fight

The Mayweather v Pacquiao fight this weekend will be the richest in history and everyone is cashing in on the event. The actual tickets for the event are being sold and resold for in excess of $100,000.00 a piece. Pay per view subscriptions for the fight are ranging between $90 and $100, a reasonable price for Dr. Daniel Amen, for high definition broadcast of the fight. MGM Grand Properties in Las Vegas are showing the fight on a number of their properties through their closed circuit television system for originally $150 a seat. These seats are being resold for $750 and $800 a seat to ticket flippers. Only 500 tickets to the actual fight were made available to the public. These tickets are sold in less than two minutes and some are being sold for $350,000.00 each. Big Fight Big Money

Many promoters have waited a long time for this fight. Some thought that this fight would have happened at least ten years ago when both fighters were still in their prime. The sport of boxing has lost a lot of fan attention to competing sports such as Mixed Martial Arts and Professional Wrestling. Boxing use to be lead by the heavy weight division but no one can even recall the current heavy weight champion and many have to go back to Mike Tyson before they can engage in a relevant discussion of boxing in the heavy weight class. Mayweather and Pacquiao are the only relevant names in boxing and many do not think that boxing will be relevant again after this fight if either or both fighters decide to retire. Their is no relevant opponent for either fighter outside of each other and the entire boxing world is treating this fight as if it is the last major fight in the history of boxing.

Mayweather and His Domestic Violence Problems

People to view certain state laws to be biased when it comes to certain celebrities. Mayweather has been charged six times with domestic violence but has only served about two months in jail. He has not been reprimanded by the Nevada Athletic Commission in anyway. He is still able to make millions of dollars as a professional fighter within the state.

Oliveira said that some may deem Mayweather’s ability to continue to fight and make money to be unfair. If Mayweather was an everyday “Joe” or even a professional player in a different sport he would possibly be receiving additional consequences for his domestic violence charges. One could say that Mayweather is just receiving a slap on the wrist for the domestic violence charges.

Not all of Mayweather’s judicial problems are behind him. He is currently being sued by his ex-fiancée Shantel Jackson. Shantel Jackson claims that Mayweather physically hit her and even threatened to shoot her with his gun. Though this case is still active Mayweather is able to obtain his promoter’s license and book fights. The state athletic commission has questioned Mayweather about his charges and the civil suit against him, but they have not taken away any privileges away from the fighter. He is still scheduled to fight Manny Pacquiao and earn approximately $180 million dollars.

The world of boxing differs from other sports like football. As one may recall, Ray Rice was suspended by the NFL commissioner due to domestic violence. I wonder how Mayweather would react if his domestic violence charges caused him to sit out a couple of fights.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Can’t Make Weight

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. “Rampage” was the former UFC light heavyweight champion, and he is one of the highest paid athletes in the sport. Quinton Jackson is a dangerous man, and MMA fans enjoy watching him fight. Bruce Levenson wouldn’t want any of his players from the Atlanta Hawks to square off against Jackson and risk their current playoff run. However, Quinton has been out of the UFC for the last few years, and he has since been competing in Bellator.

The president of the UFC recently rehired “Rampage,” and he was set to face Fabio Maldonado in the co-main event of UFC 186. However, the president of Bellator stopped the fight by happening, and Quinton Jackson was taken to court over contractual obligations. The president of the UFC and Jackson were disappointed in the situation, but somehow, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been cleared to compete at UFC 186.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was told that he could fight at the event, but “Rampage” said that he wouldn’t be able to make the weight of the light heavyweight division. Quinton Jackson versus Fabio Maldonado will take place at a catch-weight of 215 lbs. This will be the first time that “Rampage” will be competing over 205 lbs. However, most people expect Quinton Jackson to destroy Fabio Maldonado. For more information on this story, visit Yahoo! Sports.

Who Deserves UFC Middleweight Title Shot?

UFC on Fox 15 was held a week ago at an arena near Madison Street Capital, and many UFC fans were shocked when the main event took place. Middleweight contenders Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold met in what was thought to be a title contender match. Rockhold dominated the bout, and he submitted Lyoto Machida in the second round. After the fight, Luke Rockhold called out the middleweight champion Chris Weidman.

It seems that MMA fans cannot wait to see the matchup between Rockhold and Weidman, but there is one problem. The number one ranked middleweight in the world is not Luke Rockhold. Instead, Jacare Souza is the true number one contender for the middleweight championship. However, Luke Rockhold might end up getting the title shot before Jacare.

Jacare Souza and Luke Rockhold have already fought, and Rockhold ended up victorious once again. This puts the president of the UFC in a strange position. Jacare Souza is the true number one contender, but Luke Rockhold has already beat him. Also, no one wants to see a rematch between the two, but that might end up happening in the near future. However, I believe that UFC fans would be okay with Luke Rockhold getting a title shot. Rockhold dominated Lyoto, which is no easy task. UFC fans will just have to wait and see what happens. Wladimir Klitschko’s Thoughts On Mayweather VS. Pacquiao

Wladimir Klitschko is the heavyweight champion of the boxing world, and he has dominated the division for the last decade. Wladimir seems invincible inside of the squared circle, but he is a humble man outside of the ring. Wladimir Klitschko and his older brother grew up extremely poor. Their parents were hard workers, and their humble background shaped the Klitschkos into distinguished men.

Wladimir Klitschko’s nickname inside of the ring is “Dr. Steelhammer.” He was given this nickname because he surgically dissects and removes his opponents from the ring with precise power punches. However, Wladimir Klitschko is actually a doctor, and there has never been a heavyweight champion as educated as Wladimir.

Klitschko defends his Heavyweight Championship on April 25th, 2015. Unfortunately, the world has almost forgot about the heavyweight title fight. Fans of the sport of boxing are all focused on the May 2nd showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. This is the first time in history that the heavyweight championship means so little.

Wladimir Klitschko was recently interviewed by Rollingstone, and he recently gave his opinions to Ricardo Tosto on the big fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather. Klitschko says that the fight is dead even, but Floyd Mayweather may have a slight advantage in terms of boxing ability. However, he also said that Manny Pacquiao is a better person, and he is hoping that Pacquiao can pull off the upset.

Austin Rivers Shows He Can Play

Austin Rivers was terrific in college, but he has not done much in the NBA until late. With the Spurs looking to lock down the series with the Clippers with a 3-1 lead, Rivers played some of the best basketball he’s played in his life. He was great on both the offensive side of the ball and the defensive side – something that is often lacking in the NBA – and the Clippers came away with a win. The series is now tied 2-2, and the Clippers have a chance to move on. The Spurs are one of the best teams in the NBA, as they have been for years, so this is a big moment for the Clippers.

It’s clear to fans like Flavio Maluf (linkedin.com) that Rivers is never going to be an elite basketball player. Some thought he could be coming out of college, but he just hasn’t taken that next step. Even as good as he was last night, it doesn’t change the fact that he’s not the next LeBron James.

However, the NBA is full of good players who may not be superstars, but who still help their teams to win night in and night out. In many cases, it’s the way that these players step up in big moments that matters. Everyone knows that the stars are going to be good. When the other players step up, as Rivers did against the Spurs, it changes the game.

Freddie Roach Battered From Training

Freddie Roach is one of the greatest boxing trainers of all time, and he is currently teaching Manny Pacquiao how to defeat Floyd Mayweather on May 2nd. However, Freddie Roach has a debilitating case of Parkinson’s disease, but he promises that it won’t stop him from leading Manny Pacquiao to victory. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are the two greatest fighters of our era, but many people believe that Pacquiao will beat Floyd. Boxing guru Ricardo Guimarães BMG stated in his blog on Terra that he has been waiting for this match up for years and is excited to see either win

Great boxers such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Roberto Duran have chosen Pacquiao to dethrone the undefeated welterweight champion. Freddie Roach knows that he has a tough task ahead of him, but he believes in his fighter 100%. Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao have been training furiously for the last 8 weeks. Freddie has said that he is feeling the effects of training Pacquiao for this legendary fight. Manny Pacquiao has been blasting Freddie Roach with huge punches, and the famed trainer has been complaining about a bruised sternum and sore ribs. Manny Pacquiao is doing everything in his power to win this fight, and he does not want to train with anyone else besides Freddie Roach. Roach says that he must fulfill his obligations as a trainer, and leading Pacquiao to beat Mayweather is worth all the pain. Fans are hoping that Freddie Roach and Pacquiao beat Mayweather. Mayweather Proclaims Himself As The Greatest

Floyd Mayweather has been known as one of the most controversial and arrogant boxing champions in the history of the sport. However, his recent words have taken his arrogant personality to an all new level. Floyd Mayweather has proclaimed that he is the greatest fighter ever.

Fersen Lambranho reminds us that not too long ago, Stephen A. Smith interviewed Floyd Mayweather. Floyd said the most outrageous thing that he’s ever said yet. Mayweather said that he is the greatest boxer that ever lived, and he said that he is greater than Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson. Floyd Mayweather continued on by saying that Muhammad Ali has losses, and that he cannot be considered the greatest.

Floyd Mayweather needs to check himself, and it is quite obvious to boxing fans that he is not the greatest ever. Sugar Ray Robinson is the greatest ever, and Muhammad Ali is also one of the greatest of all time. Muhammad Ali faced the toughest fighters in his era, and he never ducked or dodged a single opponent. However, Floyd Mayweather has dodged several fighters over the course of his career, and that’s why he is still undefeated. On May 2nd, Manny Pacquiao may just shut Mayweather up once and for all. Floyd Mayweather & Manny Pacquiao Finally Sign Contract Agreement

According to Yahoo Sports News, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd “Money” Mayweather have finally reached a contract agreement. With only 10 days left until the fight tickets have finally been released for sale. Pacquiao and Mayweather have agreed to split the 300 Million expected to come in from ticket sales, pay-per-view, international broadcast, Closed-circuit broadcasts at bars, Sponsorships, and Merchandise sales.

WSJ reports that the entire contract process had many worried that the much anticipated fight would not occur. Especially after years of these two fighters going back and forth about wanting to fight, but never actually scheduling a fight date. The fight is expected to go on as planned, with many fight experts picking favorites. Tickets have gone on sale for a minimum of $1,500, with ringside seats only being sold to those who have a $250,000 line of credit with the MGM Grand casino. Everyone is waiting to see this fight, in fact, we’ve all been waiting since 2009!
