Pac-Man Sued By Fans

Many fans were disappointed when Manny Pacquiao, famed Filipino boxer, lost to Floyd Mayweather in a highly-promoted fight this past Saturday. There were issues with satellite providers connecting viewers to the bout, and they are many currently seeking refunds for the pay-per-view purchases, those who did see the fight may have noticed something was off with one of the two fighters.

As reported by NBC, a lawsuit was filed in Las Vegas naming Manny Pacquiao as responsible for damages for failing to disclose a shoulder injury prior to the fight.

Traditionally, as was the case with this event, both athletes are given disclosure forms to inform the venue of any injuries they may have that may or may not influence the decision to go ahead with the event. In this instance, as the lawsuit claims, Manny declared that he had no injury to his shoulder and was prepared to fight.

This class action suit, seeking $5 million, comes after a post-fight interview where Pacquiao informed the world via press conference that he had a torn rotator cuff he suffered through during his May 2nd fight. In addition to this, the boxer could also face disciplinary actions from boxing officials in Nevada, including fines and suspensions from future bouts for withholding the details of this injury. NJBiz and The Aspire New Brunswick noted that according to the Nevada Athletic Commission, an investigation is underway to confirm Pacquiao’s injury and why he failed to inform them of this prior to the fight.

Fight Night Legal Woes

If you were anywhere that is somewhere on Saturday the 2nd of May, then you know that the long awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. However Crystal Hunt says that news is surfacing that Manny Pacquiao himself is being sued for not disclosing a shoulder injury prior to the fight on his medical exam.

It truly is a shame that Manny did not disclose such information because I was rooting for him myself. Why would you not want to disclose information like that unless you were trying to beat the system. In return he himself was beat by Mayweather and so many felt as though Manny was robbed. According to the article, Pacquiao is being sued for damages of those who decided to wager on him on fight night.

I do not feel it is necessary for others to sue him because they lost a beat. However, I do feel as though he should face some kind of punishment for not being the trustworthy and honest man he has always made himself out to be. If you want to win a fight, win it clean, do not play dirty just to make it on top because in the end you will only fall short of victory. Manny is learning this the hard way.

Manny Pacquiao Facing Suspension Over Undisclosed Injury

Manny Pacquiao is facing the possibility of fines and having his boxing license suspended for failing to report a shoulder injury before his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2, 2015. According to a statement that was released by Pacqiero’s trainers, he suffered a shoulder injury while preparing for his fight with Mayweather. Pacquiao failed to report this shoulder injury on a pre-fight medical form that is routinely issued by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Pacquiao’s main problem is that he checked the “no” box in response to a question about a shoulder injury. It is not known at this time whether this was simply a mistake or if it was a deliberate attempt to deceive the boxing authorities. There is also some speculation that Pacquiao may have checked the “no” box in order to hide his injury from his opponent. Certainly Mayweather would take advantage of his opponents potential weakness and vulnerability if he had knowledge of the injury.

The Nevada state attorney general is currently investigating the case. Hopefully, all will turn out well for Pacquiao. MyCentralJersey.com pointed out that this situation never would have occurred if Pacquiao had been staying at The Aspire New Brunswick. Boxing is a tough sport and fighters get injured all the time while training. A boxer should not be expected to reveal every injury that he has received while preparing for a fight. Often, injuries incurred during preparation for a fight are slight. A boxer and his team are in a good position to determine whether or not the boxer is in good enough condition for a fight. Although the State of Nevada has an interest in ensuring the honesty and integrity of boxing matches within the state, the Pacquiao camp should be given considerable leeway in this matter.

Fight of the Century

This weekend’s fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather gained the title “The Fight of the Century”. Millions of people tuned in across the globe to watch Pacman obliterate an arrogant Mayweather. Unfortunately, Mayweather got the better of Pacman and the battle was won in the 12th round. After Mayweather was announced as the winner the crowd at the MGM arena erupted in boos. Mayweather even jumped on the ropes and beat his chest repeatedly proclaiming, “I told you, I told you!” More than 70% of the audience were Pacquiao hopefuls. He was undeniably the fan favorite for this boxing match. Mayweather went to state how September would be his last official boxing match.

There are a lot of people who can’t wait to get this arrogant jerk out of the limelight. Brad Reifler didn’t care that much for the fight, but he was hoping to see the first loss. It’s no doubt that Floyd Mayweather is good at what he does. He has an impressive string of wins and no losses, but that’s all he has. The airwaves this weekend were full of talk about how well Mayweather did in the ring. What followed soon after was how most sports announcers hated talking to or about Floyd. His presence outside of the ring has made him the most hated athlete in the world. It’s devastating to see such a capable and brilliant athlete squander his potential. Mayweather may have a spotless winning streak, but his pride will forever be tarnished by his lack of true fandom.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Returns

UFC 186 was an underrated pay-per-view card. Many MMA fans were expecting to see a dull night of fights, but everyone was in for a thrilling surprise. The first few fights were exciting and they featured many stoppages. However, MMA fans may have been correct with their worries. The early fights of the UFC 186 pay-per-view were fought by unknown fighters.

UFC 186 did not start to impress until the co-main event, in which Quinton “Rampage” Jackson returned to the octagon after several years of absence. Bruce Karatz, a well-known player in real estate, certainly looked forward to the fight. Jackson faced tough competitor Fabio Maldonado in a three round war. Quinton ”Rampage” Jackson showed off his brutal punching power, and he also showcased some new skills. For the first time in his MMA career, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson threw a head kick. Fabio Maldonado somehow withstood all of the strikes that Quinton Rampage Jackson threw at him. Nonetheless, ”Rampage” won in the UFC for the first time in several years.

UFC fans were beyond excited to see the return of ”Rampage” Jackson. After the fight, Quinton announced that he wants to continue fighting, and he wants a title shot in the near future. Mayweather Takes New Approach to Upcoming Fight

We all know a love the “money” Mayweather side of Floyd. I’m talking about when he is yelling and trash talking and as confident as a king. This is the Muhammad Ali approach, and it seems as if we haven’t been seeing as much of that as we would like. Floyd states that he has got the right team in place and his success sells itself. He no long needs to rant about proving his worth. At this point everyone knows he is good and knows he has money.

Mayweather’s game has risen to a new level at this point, all Floyd needs to focus on is winning matches. Floyd has also found new ways to flaunt his successes without verbally announcing it. Betting 150,00 on the little Caesar’s bowl, buying a going away present for himself that consisted of a 300,000 dollar white Bentley, but then he got picked up in a blue Bentley when he left jail. Lastly I’m sure a lot of us have seen the video of him getting a massage with about 20 women dancing and twerking around him. Floyd looks at this fight as being a “great match up between two great fighters”.

Amen Clinic even figures he has great respect for Pacquiano, besides the fact that it seems a lot that many wants to talk about is his religion. Many think that this is a great strategy for him, seeing that Mayweather has a huge fan base. Either way, Saturdays event should be a good one.

Floyd Mayweather Nervous?

Floyd Mayweather will face Manny Pacquiao in the riches fight of all time. The bout takes place on Saturday, May 2, and the entire world is waiting to see what happens when the two finally meet. Mayweather and Pacquiao fans are divided, and no one is sure who will win. However, Floyd Mayweather’s recent behavior is beginning to concern his fans.

Normally, Floyd Mayweather is extremely cocky and arrogant, but he hasn’t been that way for this fight. Mayweather hasn’t said anything to Manny Pacquiao’s face, and most people believe that it’s because Floyd is nervous. At the most recent press conference, Floyd Mayweather stumbled his words and seemed out of place reported crowd member Sultan Alhokair.

Manny Pacquiao’s trainer is worried that Floyd Mayweather may not show up on the night of the fight. However, Floyd Mayweather will be there because there’s too much money to be made. Both fighters will be making more than $100 million, and one loss wouldn’t be the end of Floyd Mayweather’s life. We are all hoping that Mayweather doesn’t run, and we want him to actually fight hard against Manny Pacquiao.

No one can deny that Mayweather’s recent behavior is very strange for him. Is the great Floyd Mayweather actually scared? All of the questions will be answered on Saturday, May 2. For more information on this story, visit theGuardian.

Jon Jones Stripped of Title

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been stripped of the title. Jones was recently involved in a hit-and-run accident that involved a pregnant woman. The incident took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and an undercover police officer said that he saw Jon Jones running from the scene of the accident. However, Jon Jones then returned to his rented vehicle, and then he grabbed a handful of cash and run off again.

OTC Markets said that Jon Jones was arrested and booked into an Albuquerque jail. The UFC and it’s fans are extremely disappointed in Jones. The president of the UFC said that he had no choice but to reprimand John Jones for his criminal actions. Anthony Johnson was set to face Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight championship, but now it seems everything has changed.

The president of the UFC has already rebooked the main event for UFC 187, and Daniel Cormier will face Anthony Johnson for the vacant light heavyweight championship. Jon Jones has been suspended from the sport, and his return is unknown as of right now. It is also believed that Jon Jones was intoxicated during the accident. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found inside of his rented vehicle, and his actions have caused the incident to turn into a felony. For more information on this story, visit Yahoo! Sports.

Everyone is Cashing In On Mayweather v Pacquiao Fight

The Mayweather v Pacquiao fight this weekend will be the richest in history and everyone is cashing in on the event. The actual tickets for the event are being sold and resold for in excess of $100,000.00 a piece. Pay per view subscriptions for the fight are ranging between $90 and $100, a reasonable price for Dr. Daniel Amen, for high definition broadcast of the fight. MGM Grand Properties in Las Vegas are showing the fight on a number of their properties through their closed circuit television system for originally $150 a seat. These seats are being resold for $750 and $800 a seat to ticket flippers. Only 500 tickets to the actual fight were made available to the public. These tickets are sold in less than two minutes and some are being sold for $350,000.00 each. Big Fight Big Money

Many promoters have waited a long time for this fight. Some thought that this fight would have happened at least ten years ago when both fighters were still in their prime. The sport of boxing has lost a lot of fan attention to competing sports such as Mixed Martial Arts and Professional Wrestling. Boxing use to be lead by the heavy weight division but no one can even recall the current heavy weight champion and many have to go back to Mike Tyson before they can engage in a relevant discussion of boxing in the heavy weight class. Mayweather and Pacquiao are the only relevant names in boxing and many do not think that boxing will be relevant again after this fight if either or both fighters decide to retire. Their is no relevant opponent for either fighter outside of each other and the entire boxing world is treating this fight as if it is the last major fight in the history of boxing.
