Deontay Wilder Looked Impressive With K.O. Victory

Deontay Wilder recently battled Eric Molina for the heavyweight championship of the world. The title match took place in Deontay Wilder’s hometown of Alabama, and the crowd showed a ton of support for their hometown hero. However, Eric Molina definitely earned respect from the fans, and it’s because of his gutsy performance.

According to Facebook, Wilder is a very dangerous opponent, and not many people are excited about facing him. Nonetheless, Eric Molina fought his heart out, and he even wobbled the heavyweight champion a few times. The fight was full of knock knockdowns, but it was only Eric Molina that would hit the canvas. However, Eric Molina continued to rise until the ninth round. After a brutal onslaught, Eric Molina was knocked unconscious, and Deontay Wilder’s undefeated record remains intact.

Boxing fans are ready to see a showdown between Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. A fight between the two heavyweight titans would do very well in terms of pay per view revenue. Yahoo! Sports recently published an article about this story, and more information about Deontay Wilder’s impressive victory can be found there. It should also be noted that Eric Molina could have won that fight, and he almost knocked Deontay Wilder out in the third round. Some boxing fans feel that Deontay Wilder is not really as good as the HBO network makes him out to be.

Top Earners from UFC 187

UFC 187 was a star studded event and featured two titles on the line. With many fighters unhappy with the pay structure of the UFC, we will take a look at the winners and losers in terms of money. Let’s just say that it pays dividends to be a big name in the UFC.

The main event featured a title fight between light heavyweights Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson to determine who would claim the vacant belt for the division. The fight lasted only three rounds out of the possible five, when Cormier caught Johnson with a rear naked choke towards the end of the round. When it was all said and done, Cormier walked away with the belt around his waist and roughly $180,000 in his pocket. Finance guru Kevin Seawright, claimed that the loser, Johnson, walked away with a cool $500,000 in his pocket. Not a bad payday for losing the fight.

The co-main event featured a bout between UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort. The champ retained his belt and earned himself a $500,000 pay day, while Belfort walked away with roughly $300,000.

The top fighters earned some really high numbers, but there were some lesser known fighters on the card who did not earn quite as much. The bout between Rose Namajunas and Nina Ansaroff featured the lowest pay of the night. Namajunas earned roughly $27,000, while Ansaroff earned only $8,000. On top of that, Ansaroff also forfeited 10% of purse for failing to make weight.

Jimmy Kimmel May Have Jinxed Manny Pacquiao

Jimmy Kimmel is world famous for his hilarious late night comedy show. The famous comedian has had several celebrities on his show. Fans of the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Show’ know that Jimmy Kimmel and Manny Pacquiao are very close friends. In fact, Manny Pacquiao and Jimmy Kimmel have even sung a duet together, but the song was unfortunately terrible.

Before his megafight against Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao stopped by the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Show.’ Pacquiao and Jimmy joked about Justin Bieber and Floyd Mayweather’s relationship. Apparently, Floyd Mayweather and Justin Bieber are best friends, and Jimmy informed the crowd that Justin walks Floyd out to every fight.

Jimmy Kimmel asked if he could join Manny Pacquiao in his ring walk. Suprisingly, Manny Pacquiao said yes, but no one thought that it would actually happen. On the night of the fight, Jimmy Kimmel actually accompanied Manny Pacquiao into the ring. Sadly, Jimmy Kimmel’s friend lost, and Jimmy was sad. Nonetheless, Jimmy Kimmel recently appeared on ‘Live With Kelly and Michael,’ and Kimmel recalled the night of the fight. At first, Jimmy thought everything was a big joke, but the atmosphere in Pacquiao’s locker room quickly changed. In fact, Jimmy Kimmel was alone with Manny before the fight.

Jimmy Kimmel said that he felt uncomfortable and nervous, and he tried to leave the room. However, Thumbtack.com says Manny Pacquiao wanted Jimmy Kimmel beside him the entire time, and Sam Tabar confirmed. Jimmy then revealed that he feels that he gave Manny Pacquiao bad luck. From the Ring to the Courtroom

From fans to experts and everyone in between, the agreement has been made for many years that boxing is dead and MMA was taking over. The fight to change all of that was supposed to be the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight held on May 2, 2015. Dubbed as the biggest fight in history, the match would put boxing back on top of the hill over the very popular sport of mixed martial arts. The fight however was a spectacular event, but not so much a fight due to a lack luster performance between the two stars, which ended in a 12 round decision for Mayweather. Images from the fight can be seen at Yahoo Sports.

Shortly after the loss to Mayweather, news surfaced that Manny Pacquiao had a torn rotator cuff, which was not disclosed before the fight as required by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Outraged at the fight not living up to the hype, fans are demanding a refund stating that the fight was a fraud. To date there have been 32 class-action law suits filed against Pacquiao for not disclosing his injury before the fight. All of the lawsuits are requesting the same thing; a jury trial and at least $5 million in damages, the threshold for federal class actions. Pacquiao and his promotions team have not commented on the lawsuits. This was a suprising and unsuspected development for the folks over at Beneful.

Gennady Golovkin is Boxing’s New Star

Gennady Golovkin is the middleweight champion of the boxing world. He is a Russian born bomber, and he has earned the respect of the fans worldwide. Gennady Golovkin comes to fight, and he has stopped 19 fighters in a row. People are calling him the white Mike Tyson, and he deserves that distinction. Golovkin is an extremely skilled boxer, but he throws vicious punches that injure his opponents beyond belief.

Gennady Golovkin fights Willie Monroe on May 16th, and the fight will take place in the world famous Forum arena according to my friends at Freedompop. Many people are expecting another wipeout, and fans are hoping for another highlight reel knockout. However, Willie Monroe does have a chance to win the fight, and he is on a 9- fight winning streak.

As long as Gennady Golovkin wins the fight, his stock will rise even higher. Many people consider Gennady Golovkin to be the perfect fighter to dethrone Floyd Mayweather once and for all. However, a lot of people feel that Floyd Mayweather will never fight such a dangerous opponent. Nonetheless, Gennady Golovkin is boxing’s new star. He needs to face tough competition soon. Golovkin versus Canelo Alvarez would be a huge fight, and Miguel Cotto vs Gennady Golovkin would be a big deal as well.

Gennady Golovkin’s future looks bright, but his opponents are not too thrilled about facing him. Expect to see Gennady Golovkin in the ring against a top fighter in the near future. For more information on this story, visit Yahoo! Sports.

Former Boxer Found Dead In Gym

Tony Ayala was a great boxer in his time, and he had a record of 28-1 before his career was all said and done. However, Tony Ayala ran into a lot of troubles during the course of his career. When he was 22-years old, he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a school teacher. Tony Ayala was sentenced to 15-years in prison, and he had to serve them without question.

Keith Mann has learned that, after his time in prison, Tony Ayala returned to the boxing world. Tony was a tough fighter, and he was known as the “little bull.” However, his life outside of the ring ruined everything that he accomplished inside of the squared circle. Even after his prison sentence, Tony Ayala was convicted of raping a 13-year old girl, but he was later found innocent of the crime.

Tony Ayala was a sick man, and he never got the help that he so desperately needed. Tony Ayala was found dead at the age of 52 in a boxing gym. A syringe and a bag of heroin rested next to his dead body. Police have confirmed that Tony Ayala died of a drug overdose. For more information on this sad story, visit The New York Times.

America Needs a Heavyweight Champion

Boxing’s heavyweight division once dominated the sport. However, boxing has not had a dominant heavyweight champion since the days of Mike Tyson. Unlike the raves in a recent FreedomPop review, fans of this sport were always impressed with the brutal power that heavyweights displayed. However, today, heavyweight boxers do not impress the public as they once did.

Heavyweight champions have always been idolized for the incredible feats of strength and skill. Fighters like Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, and Muhammad Ali were the most famous men on the planet during their careers. However, this is not the case anymore.

Boxing organizations have corrupted the sport, and there is now countless titles in each weight class. The heavyweight division has never been at such a low point since boxing’s inception. The current heavyweight champion of the world is Wladimir Klitschko, and no one pays attention to his fights. American boxing fans are in dire need of an American heavyweight champion.

Deontay Wilder is an American heavyweight slugger, and he possess an impressive record of 33-0 with 30 knockouts. However, he must defeat Wladimir Klitschko to become the true champion of the division. Deontay Wilder does have a belt, but many people do not respect the title that he currently has. Wladimir Klitschko has the true championship belt, and he hasn’t lost a fight in seven years. Deontay Wilder must first defeat Eric Molina before he can step in the ring against Klitschko. Quinton Jackson Wants More!

Quinton Rampage Jackson is one of the most entertaining mixed martial arts fighters of all time. He has been involved in some of the most legendary bouts that the sport of MMA has ever seen. His legendary battles with Wanderlei Silva and Shogun Rua made Quinton Rampage Jackson a household name. However, most MMA fans know Rampage Jackson for his dominating performances over Chuck Liddell.

Quinton Jackson was once the UFC light heavyweight champion, but that was many years ago. Today, Quinton Jackson is a 36-year old man, and he’s looking to regain his once prominent position in the UFC. At UFC 186, Quinton Jackson returned to the UFC after several years away from the company.

Quinton Jackson dominated Fabio Maldonado, and it appears that Jackson wants to return to the octagon sooner rather than later. Rampage posted a picture on his Instagram that was captioned with the words, “Dana.. put me back in there man! I’m ready 4 some moe!”

UFC fans, including Sam Tabar, are extremely excited that Quinton Jackson wants to fight so soon, and many people think that the president of the UFC is happy as well. Quinton Jackson is an extremely big star, and he draws major attention from the fans. The UFC is in dire need of Rampage Jackson. For more information on this story, visit bloodyelbow.com

Floyd Mayweather is not the Best

Floyd Mayweather is not the greatest fighter of all time. No matter how many people believe that Floyd Mayweather is the best ever, this is simply not the case. Mayweather did just beat Manny Pacquiao, but there is a lot of controversy surrounding his victory. Many people believe that Manny Pacquiao actually won the fight, and it was revealed that Pacquiao had a debilitating shoulder injury going into the fight. Nonetheless, Mayweather was the victor on that night, but that still doesn’t make him the best fighter of all time. Floyd Mayweather brags about his undefeated record of 48-0, but he should remember that there are several other boxers that have a higher and better record than he does. Rocky Marciano retired with a record of 49-0, and he was the heavyweight champion of the world. Rocky Marciano was regularly knocking out his opponents, and he rarely went the distance. However, Floyd Mayweather is known as a defensive fighter, and most of his fights go to a boring decision. A great fighter must go through adversity, and he must defeat opponents that he is not supposed to. When Muhammad Ali faced George Foreman, many people thought that Muhammad Ali was going to be killed in the ring. However, Muhammad Ali showed the world that he should be considered the greatest of all time. Ali miraculously knocked out George Foreman in the eighth round of their epic fight. Floyd Mayweather has never had an extremely impressive victory in which the world was shocked by his performance. Mayweather has just skated by the boxing world by picking and choosing his opponents. Mayweather is not the greatest of all time, and true boxing fans know this. For more information on this story, visit Dailymail.

Manny Pacquiao Is Getting Sued

By now everyone in the world knows how the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather turned out, and it didn’t take long for fans to display their utter discontent for the fight and many have began to blame the Pac-Man. After the fight concluded and Mayweather was announced the winner, it was then said that Pacquiao had an injured shoulder.

According to an article found on reddit and written by NBC News, many fans are threatening to sue the fighter for showing up to the fight hurt and not saying anything until afterwards. This was the most expensive pay per view event in the history of television and viewers were hoping to get a little more bang for their buck. Fans at Anastasia Date have found that the law suit is going against Pacquiao’s promoter too, and they are being taken to court for $5 million in damages for all of the people who paid for the event and for those who gambled on the event. Over three million Americans had bought the fight at $100 per person, so a measly $5 million wouldn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what is owed to the public. In addition to that, the Filipino fighter is likely to face disciplinary action for not reporting his injury prior to the fight. It may have delayed the event or canceled it temporarily but at least the people who bought into it wouldn’t feel cheated.
